Most people study for jobs,

That's why they panic during exams ,

They can even cheat exams , to pass

But passing is not actually their goal

Their goal is to get a good certificate or degree so that they get a good job.

They don't know what employees really want.

Most employers now days , focus on results of your work than the results on your paper.

Most employees a investors and investors forcus on return on investments.

Your value to them is not your paper is how much you. Can make for them.

If they pay you 1,000,000 how much are you making them back .

the more you make them the more valuable you are .

Read the above statement again.

Yes in other words you are a tool they invest in to make more money.

So if a better tool comes out that is cheaper and makes them more money you lose out.

Now am not writing this to make you leave school or work . As a matter of fact.

I am writing this as l am a the university studying IT , but what pieces me off.

Almost every student in the class am in is dreaming of working for a company.

This goal shapes their focus, they focus on reading hard ,

especially on things thought in class to pass have good grades to apply to the big companies.

So they don't study outside the syllabus, and IT students will not study, phycology, leadership, human behaviors.

He thinks if he masters java . All these IT companies will be looking for him.

What pains me is l look at talents and gifted people, who don't want to take risk of starting a company, because it's hard.

They want to play it safe .

I don't want to work for anyone, that's why l study beyond what is though in school.

Am not sure if in the next 5 years, what am studying now will be relevant to l teach my self how to learn and adapt.

I take risks to start business . This shapes the questions l ask ., l ask

• what problem does what we are learning solve

• How can we monetize it

• is it scable

• who are already solving it.

I will not ask the professor " will you set that"

And yes most professors don't have those answers, that's why the Internet and AI are here ,

But the questions you will ask will depend on your goal.

If your goal is to get a gob : you will ask AI how to write a CV or job application

While if you're goal is to start a company you will ask : How to write a proposal or a pitch

Same generation same technology.

Different goals different questions.
