Purpose & Status

The Second Level of Purpose: Status

🚀 The Second Level of Purpose: Status

Last time, we talked about Survival — the first level of purpose.

If you missed it, you can read that important foundation here:
👉 Your Purpose Isn’t Hidden in a Dream, It’s Hidden in Your Struggle

We said if you want to become anything substantial, you must ask yourself:

  1. What do I want to become?

  2. What will success look like for me?

  3. What habits should I build to succeed?

We defined Survival as:

  • Facing your current problems head-on

  • Learning relentlessly

  • Taking action and developing real-life solutions

  • Building skillsets to become bigger than the problem

Now, let’s talk about what happens next...

📈 Welcome to Stage 2: Status

You’ve survived.
You’ve built some skills.
Money is trickling in.
You’re no longer stuck like before.

This is when most people make the jump to status — and it’s a very tempting stage, trust me.

But it’s also a dangerous one if misunderstood.

🪞 What is “Status”?

Status is the phase where we want to be seen.

You’ve worked hard, and now you want to show:

  • The cars 🚗

  • The house 🏠

  • The gadgets 📱

  • The nice clothes 🧥

  • The lifestyle 🌴

But here’s the trap:

Most people try to skip to this stage too early.
Before they’ve built a real foundation.
Before they have financial literacy.
Before they’re truly ready.

🧠 Here’s the Reality

Not all status is bad.
It depends on how you earn it and why you want it.

  • If your identity is built on status, you’ll collapse when money gets tight.

  • If your income is not deep enough, chasing status might send you back to Step 1 — Survival.

  • But if you build wisely, status can become a launchpad into something greater.

So this week, we’ll be discussing:

  • How status affects your life purpose

  • How to avoid “status debt”

  • Why financial literacy is your next most important skill
